Hand made Venetian albums created in a traditional method of paper craftsmanship going back more than a thousand years. Ideal as wedding albums, scrapbooks, portfolios, photo albums and presentation books.

Venice pioneered the techniques for bonding wafer-thin metal leaf to clear glass in the 1300's. By the time of the Renaissance, Venice had established an outstanding reputation as the world center of mirror production. The Venetians are also credited with the development of the frame, first used to protect the mirrored glass during transport. Venice protected its monopoly on the techniques of mirror making (and optics) by inflicting the death penalty on any glassmakers caught leaving the city without permission. Today the ancient traditional techniques of Venetian mirror construction still lives, passed down by glassmaking masters from generation to generation through a time-honored system of apprenticeship.

Bomboniere are a candy coated almond nut used everywhere in Italy as a traditional wedding favor. They symbolize good fortune and are a souvenir of the wedding. Packaged and decorated in various ways, bomboniere are presented by the bride to wedding guests and in thanks for gifts and congratulations. Bomboniere are also used to accompany birth announcements. We use only the highest quality almond nut for our bomboniere.
